14West Manifesto
We come from islands surrounded by water but never limited by it. We’ve sent music, language, spirit, and science into the world. Now we send something else—intention, innovation, and intelligence.
14West is the Caribbean’s first AI Fund, investing one million US dollars into fourteen companies across fourteen nations. But money is only the beginning. What we are really building is a future. A future where our people shape the systems that shape us.
We did not wait for permission. We stepped forward. We have waited too long for disconnected initiatives, one-off programs, and policies still on paper. Fragmented efforts cannot build lasting structures. Small pilots and scattered projects are not enough. The Caribbean deserves more than participation. We deserve presence. We deserve power.
This is why we have launched the Caribbean Assembly for AI Growth—a regional body with open arms and equal voices. Every territory, every builder, every thinker willing to stand for the region will have a seat at this table. This is not an AI moment. This is an AI movement. A Caribbean one.
We will build with six principles. Representation, because every nation and every voice must be included. Alignment, because we must end duplication, silos, and missed connections. Capacity, because infrastructure, compute, data, and skills must be regional and accessible. Capability, because training alone is not enough—we must build products and prosperity. Ethic, because our AI must reflect who we are, not overwrite who we’ve been. And fairness, because access must never be a privilege. Equity must be engineered into the system.
This is our invitation to the dreamers, the builders, the leaders, and the ones who never quite fit inside the box. We are here to design the future with intention, precision, and culture. From our own soil, in our own voice, for our own people—and beyond.
If you are ready, come. Apply. Join. Build.
